WORTH REMEMBERING

I lost the man I love and at the same time my best friend. :( It’s totally over and pain is unbearable.

I felt the pain that made me feel numb inside.

I just can’t explain what I am feeling right now. All I know is that I am in state of shock. My whole being went down just because of that one photo of yours. Maybe I am over-reacting right now but I just can’t blame myself for that’s all I felt. Pain that “you” caused and only “you” can take away.

Puro Akala…

As in, sobrang strict! But on the brighter side, I know the officers were only following rules inside the jail. Haaayyy, sayang talaga :( While we’re being inspected Yeng took the time to visit the inmates and it’s just so heart whelming to see her greeting them. (Ni walang kaarte-arte) Pagdating sa loob, tinatanong kame if kasama namin si Pastor Dennis Roldan meaning kung VIP kame; sympre ako di ko alam ang isasagot kase nung una di ko marinig sinasabi niya tapos tinanong kame ulit if taga-HAU kame sabay “Oo” naman so they gave us the seats at the back. Sayang again! Tapos yung lugar namin mainit at malayo sa stage. Edi pinagtiyagan hanggang sa natapos ang mga testimonies ng mga Pastor; then one of the organizers asked us to stay in front and luckily WE ARE VERY NEAR TO YENG! Her songs will always be the best! We’re so blessed :))

Lastly, we planned to wait for her outside so we can still have more pictures with her. BUSET! After the long wait, ganun lang! Hahay…

What more can we ask for?! We are so blessed :)))

Don’t mind our faces :))) Masaya kame e! Thank you Yeng for the opportunity =)

Note: I’m so thankful to my dear friend Charlene Suarez Razon :)) Lab you :*

P.S. I don’t own the pictures. Kay Char din yan :)) Salamat talaga!

My Ghost Friend, Rikako Marushima

Well, maybe you’re wondering why I consider her my “ghost friend”; I compare her as one because she’s making me feel that she’s always around even though I don’t see her a lot. The last time I saw her was last January and sometimes I have issues in this kind of setting because even on our birthdays we didn’t had the time to celebrate it.

August 19, 2012 was a day to remember for us because we had two hours to cope up. Unfortunately, we need to rush with our bonding moments while having an “ambush make-over” for her to attend an urgent dinner at Shanghai Restaurant. She didn’t have the enough time to go home for her to get dressed so we did a quick shopping for a top, accessories and heels. Luckily, SM Clark was on sale but still we had a hard time on picking for the right one. Until we visit again the stall, Genevieve Gozum, to have a quick browse on their clothes; thank God we got it.

Definitely, a worthy memory for us.

Here’s my essay in Rizal… (Got a perfect score!)

God’s Little Paradise, Bohol

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines is the province of Bohol with its beaches and resorts. Land of the famous Chocolate Hills and the second-smallest primate Philippine Tarsier as well as one of the top ten diving locations in the world, Panglao Island is located in this province. I am so lucky that I got the chance to explore this hidden paradise of our country with my family last April 18 and 19, 2012. It’s our first time to travel as a whole after the busy school days and work.

As we landed at Tagbilaran Airport, Kuya Arjay, (our tour guide) greeted us with his placard for us to recognize him just like Blumentritt using a pencil sketch in meeting Rizal at the station of Leitmeritz. He familiarized us first to the city with its brief history and led us to the Blood Compact Shrine. It’s the “sanduguan” of the two chieftains; Don Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, a Spanish leader and Datu Sikatuna, a native of Bohol; in one of the paintings of Juan Luna, Rizal posed as Datu Sikatuna. In commemoration of this historical event, a life-size diorama made up of pure bronze is erected just a few meters from the exact location where the ritual was made. Then, our journey started at Loboc River, known for the several floating restaurants offering different kind of seafood dishes. It’s a buffet full of delicious food that fitted my taste buds, from appetizer to the desserts; I felt like I’m a queen from England feeding myself with so much food. I enjoyed this kind of setup while sailing along Loboc River and to my surprise it has crystal clear water despite the nearby houses along the riverbank. Additional treat are the songs played by the Boholanos during the cruise performing their own music and it’s refreshing to hear their songs while eating. After the energy boosting dining experience, we head to the endearing Chocolate Hills and climb all the way to the top to have a perfect view of the well-known hills. Upon reaching the top, it is indeed breathtaking with all the view I’ve seen. Along the way, we pass by the Man-made forest with its tall trees that made the surroundings so fresh and windy and it is also surrounded by lime stones. On our way down, we pass by a ship house which was featured in several TV shows in our country. Next stop, Tarsier Conservation Area where we come to see and learn about these animals, Tarsiers, that they are lonely organisms, feed on insects during night time and they are nocturnal. This center protects them from being hunted by people. Another preservation area is the Butterfly Sanctuary which takes care on moths, caterpillars and different types of butterflies. I had new knowledge about these insects; their life time—they have a life span of weeks only and their wings indicates their gender. Until we came to our last destination for the day, the Hanging Bridge where at the end of the trail we got to shop for souvenirs and “pasalubong”. Their specialty is the peanut kisses which are very tasty and affordable as well. We had a long, tiring day but an unforgettable one. When the sun rises in the east, we jump off the hotel to catch the beautiful morning at the Beach of Panglao Island. White fine sand approaches us, fresh air and the sea that stuns me with its clear water that you can even see the corals beneath. I enjoyed the seashore making sand castles with my sisters and taking photographs as well. It was so good to start the day along the seaside. Before we left the province, we visited different churches which are very historical. Thanking God for all the blessings we receive, particularly our trip.

It was a great experience discovering Bohol and learning a lot about this place. I become more interested in gaining information about the province just what our hero; Rizal had done to the places he visited. Observing is also one of my agenda, to compare Pampanga from Bohol, indeed they are so different; from the tourists spots, culture and people—they are so generous and very accommodating. We felt overwhelm on their hospitality as much as Rizal felt also to the family of Bluementritt during his visit. One thing I noticed is that the food is almost the same with our own. Kapampangans and Boholanos are certainly good cooks. What a great experience to spend a summer vacation in Bohol. I must tell that everything is worth it, without a doubt it is God’s gift to the Boholanos as their little paradise.

WHAT A BLAST?!

(More pictures to come…)

No words can explain how happy I am with my birthday. It was indeed a HAPPY BIRTHDAY for me. First, a day before ng birthday ko (July 20); last day ng Prelim nmin yun kaya busy ang lahat sa pagrereview at ako nman chill chill lang. While waiting for our last exam to come, Tey-tey and I we’re having a chitchat about nothing just killing the time. Suddenly, Jenny came and ask me to go out then I saw my friends; Jodi, Mamu, Kath, Danica, Sey, Tine, Eris and Ferg outside. Ngyon pala dapat di pa nila ako tatawagin, in short palpak surprise nila. Hahaha, pero tawa lang ako ng tawa kase sabi nila kunware di ko pa sila nakita so edi kase pumasok ako ulit saka sila kumanta with matching cake, rose, greetings on a cartolina and a gift (Book-The Best Of Me). Hahahaha, I’m so touched! Sobra, pero di nila pinalampas yung cake and put some on my face. (Gurabing lagkit nun, pati hair ko meron!) So ginawa ko I hug them oh so tight and put some icing also on their faces. We’re like children running on the corridor. Sa sobrang saya ko, di ko napansin na andyan na prof namen so I need to say goodbye to them. I have the feeling that they’ll have a surprise for me :)) (If not Friday, Monday) Huli sila, so thankful!

The next day, I’m effing sick. :( Birthday gift daw sken, so I stayed at home all day. In the morning, of course I’m expecting messages in my phone and I’m surprised that my Dad enter my room bringing the beak of a Peking Duck. Ayoko kse sa bibeng yun, ampanget as in anlake ng ulo pero ang sweet ni Daddy ginawa niyang puppet yung beak tas gngreet niya ako. (tawa ako ng tawa, grabe!) I love the craziness of my Dad! :D After that, I checked my accounts (fb, twitter) to see who remembered my special day. (D ksi nkashow sa profile ko yung birthdate ko) Luckily, andami nila :))) A simple greeting is enough for me but with their meaningful messages, it’s worth reading and remembering :) Sympre kapag naglog-in ako sa Fb di pwedng d ako chachat ng kaibigan kong maganda (Si Patz), palagi ko syang kachikahan sa chat hanggang maglog-out ako kahit nkkita ko siya everyday. Hahaha :D Then, I finally said that I’ll take a rest kase sobrang ambigat ng katawan ko pero pinigilan niya ako, 5 minutes na lang daw. So I stayed and she shared a link, it’s a video for me. Again unexpected! :D I’m so excited to see it, thank God mabilis ang net! Natatawa ako sa mga pictures na nakalap nila at the same time crying kase sobrang nakakatouch sila (college friends). Solid sila, kahit for a short period of time na magkakilala kame, I felt so important :)) Note: Nakakatawa yung inedit nilang wonder woman with my face! Sana nga may super like and love sa Fb. I can’t explain how thankful I am :)))) THANK YOU SO MUCH!

The next hour, I stayed alone at home. Hinihintay ko si Ate Arian from Manila kase lalabas daw kme kso gusto kong manuod ng show ni Yeng sa Pagcor kaya nagpapabili ako ng ticket sa kanya. I’m so desperate to watch but fate didn’t let me. So I am waiting for them all along para lumabas na kame. Marimla ye.” so nagbihis ako jogging pants (ang luwang pmo kase lumang HFA pants), jacket and malaking tsinelas, take note di pko naligo kase nga nilalagnat ako. Ang laki ng smile ko hanggang tenga :D I don’t have any hints :))) Napaupo nalang ako and cried. Lumapit ako and hug them so tight! Ang saya lang! Sobrang unexpected! So much joy, I’m speechless :))) I’m so thankful sa family ko as well as to my friends :* I love them so much!

TRIPLE SURPRISES! Thank you Lord for another year :) For all the blessings I received. I love you so much! I’m so thankful to have you in my life. Mwa mwa :*

LOVE CONQUERS IT ALL.
“Do you love me?” these were the powerful words written in a piece of cigarette wrapper of my Father when he was courting my Mother. He left this message in a store where my Mother always stays. They’re in the same school, Holy Angel University; my Mom then was in her third year high school while my Dad was taking up Commerce. Back then, courting with friends is effective so after three days when my Dad sent that message, he received a “Yes” note written in a receipt from my Mom and with that snap they’re official. It’s a bit fast for the courting time but the relationship lasts for three years before my Mom introduced him to her family and unfortunately they don’t like my Dad. Even though it’s hard for them to keep it secret, love conquers it all. There’s this one incident wherein my Dad asked his friend to send my Mom a cake on her 18th birthday so that their secret won’t be revealed. They take all the risks to save their relationship until the right time came.
It was after my Mom’s graduation that they decided to run away for them to be together even though it’s forbidden. They went to Isabela and stayed with my Aunt (my Dad’s sister) until my Grandfather (my Mom’s father) found out about it and he demand for kidnapping in the court. My Dad decided to marry my Mom in Isabela so that when they got home no one can tear them apart. Until now, they live happily and come what may love will always conquer it all.

MEMORIES. Last night, I had time to arrange my stuffs after a long time including my papers in school since the first semester. I also get a chance to re-read letters I received from the past and I was touched with all those heartfelt messages, thanks to my friends. Then, I realize there is one person I consider my closest friend that didn’t bother to write one for me. Anyway, I hope she’ll have time :)
